REQUEST FOR COUNCIL CONSIDERATION Agenda Section: 1. <br /> 111117� Report Number: 91-134WS <br /> STAFF REPORT <br /> ° <br /> AGENDA SESSION DATE JANUARY 6 , 1991 Report Date: 1-6-91 <br /> DISPOSITION <br /> Item Description: <br /> DEVELOPMENT OF LOOSE ENDS PROPERTY <br /> Administrator's Review/Recommendation: <br /> - No comments to supplement this report <br /> - Comments attached. <br /> Explanation/Summary (attach supplement sheets as necessary.) <br /> ,SUMMARY; <br /> Saturn of St. Paul and Everest Development have submitted plans for the <br /> development of the former Loose End's property located at 2375 Highway 10. <br /> At present, staff is in the process of reviewing the submittal and <br /> forwarding their comments to the Planning Commission for action. The <br /> Planning Commission is tentatively scheduled to review the request at their <br /> January 15, 1992 Agenda Session. <br /> The applicants have requested that this item be placed on the January 6, <br /> 1992 City Council Work Session so that an initial presentation of the <br /> proposal can be made. It is the opinion of the applicant that the request, <br /> which is for an automobile sales dealership, is an allowed use under the <br /> current zoning on the property. Staff's interpretation of the Municipal <br /> Code is that a development of this type falls within the parameters of a <br /> conditional use permit. The applicant is requesting a final determination <br /> as to whether or not a conditional use permit will be needed for the <br /> proposal. <br /> In addition to the proposed Loose End's development, Everest Development <br /> will be discussing an application for a Planned Unit Development Amendment <br /> for the Mounds View Business Park South property. The Amendment would allow <br /> the creation of additional parking as part of the MVBP South development. <br /> The applicant will be providing information on the request Monday Evening. <br /> I have attached copies of all appropriate application materials in addition <br /> to those sections of the Municipal Code which are applicable to the request. <br /> If you have any questions regarding either of these items, please do not <br /> hesitate to give me a call. <br /> ul Harrington, City anner <br /> RECOMMENDATION; <br />
