TIME SPENT PROFILE <br /> Rick Wriskey, City Forester <br /> • Parks, Recreation and Forestry Dept. <br /> OAK WILT AND DUTCH ELM DISEASE CONTROL - 208 hours <br /> Inspection of elm and oak trees (requested or planned), disease identification, <br /> coordination of removal with residents and city contractor, verification of proper <br /> removal, payment and billing, woodpile removal. <br /> TREE PLANTING AND LANDSCAPING OF PUBLIC GROUNDS - 208 hours <br /> Tree and shrub planting and landscaping of parks and public property, machine <br /> transplanting from nurseries. <br /> TREE AND LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE - 208 hours <br /> Tree and shrub trimming, structuring and pruning in parks, along streets and <br /> easements, intersections and signs; mulching, watering, guying, fertilizing, weeding, <br /> spraying and repair. <br /> MISCELLANEOUS - 125 hours <br /> • Inspection of commercial landscape plans for planning office, tree/landscape-related <br /> advice and diagnoses to residents and businesses, weed inspection duties, Arbor Day <br /> related activities with schools and civic groups, sprinkler system maintenance and <br /> forestry-related meetings, seminars with staff, residents or boards. <br /> FORESTRY ADMINISTRATION - 83 hours <br /> Writing forestry-related articles for bulletin, local paper and cable, cable forestry <br /> "segments", budgeting, compost program coordination and landscape planning and <br /> stock ordering. <br /> This position is a contractual agreement with the City of New Brighton.. <br /> • <br />
