The proposed deck would be situated between the house <br /> and the below-ground swimming pool in the back yard; however, <br /> the proposed site lies within the 100 foot buffer zone of a <br /> wetland. <br /> Section 48.05, Subd. 5(c) , of the Wetland Zoning Ordinance <br /> • indicates that all structures shall be set back at least 100 <br /> feet from the wetland. However, Section 48 .06, Subd. 4(c) , <br /> allows for minor development in a buffer zone with a wetland <br /> alteration permit. <br /> The proposed deck would not seem to deter from the purpose or <br /> preservation of the wetland, however, Staff is looking for <br /> direction as to the appropriate resolution to prepare for this <br /> request. <br /> TJG/BAB <br /> 411 <br />
