• <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 3076 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF <br /> WATER TREATMENT EQUIPMENT FROM A SOLE SOURCE <br /> WHEREAS, the Filtronics equipment is unique in that it filters at <br /> a rate five times higher than that of any other equipment on <br /> the market, achieves a high degree of iron removal and also <br /> removes manganese, uses approximately ten percent of the <br /> water for backwash of other available equipment, is fully <br /> automated, and is available from only one source; <br /> NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of <br /> Mounds View, Minnesota, that the Filtronics Incorporated <br /> filtration equipment is "non-competitive equipment" within <br /> the meaning of Minnesota Statutes, Section 471 . 36 , and <br /> therefore is exempted from the competitive bidding <br /> requirements. <br /> • <br /> • <br />
