Sper l <br /> Marching Knights had recently placed first in the Or <br /> AAA category of marching bands in the Grand Day <br /> Aquatennial Parade, and she extended congratulations <br /> to the band and director, Jeff Goldsmith. <br /> Mr. Goldsmith thanked the Council. He explained he <br /> has worked with the group to build it over the past <br /> three years to its present 125 students. The drumline <br /> won in the Torchlight Parade also. Mr. Goldsmith <br /> introduced the band members and parents present. <br /> Mayor Hankner presented the certificate of commenda- <br /> tion to the band and wished them continued success. <br /> Mayor Hankner recognized Keith Anderson, a vocational <br /> teacher at Irondale, for his accomplishments. <br /> Mr. Anderson explained the competitions the group <br /> 0 had won, both at the state and national level, in <br /> the Plymouth Chrysler troubleshooting competition. <br /> Mayor Hankner presented a certificate of commenda- <br /> tion to Mr. Anderson and wished him continued <br /> success. <br />
