Call to <br /> Mayor Hankner at 7 :05 PM on Monday, August 6, 1990 . Order <br /> MEMBERS PRESENT: Councilmembers Blanchard, Paone, 2 . Roll <br /> Wuori, Quick and Mayor Hankner. Call <br /> ALSO PRESENT: Acting Clerk/Administrator Minetor and <br /> Public Works Foreman Mike Ulrich. <br /> Minetor reported that the 1990 Street Maintenance Bid 3 . Street <br /> Awards were opened Wednesday August 1st. We received Maint. <br /> two bids . One from Allied Blacktop Company for Bid <br /> $39, 752 . 81, which is the Company that did the work last Award <br /> year. Second bid was from Astech Corporation of <br /> St. Cloud, $34,316.89 . The difference between the two <br /> Allpidders is Allied used traprock last year and <br /> Astech in going to use a granite chip. They both meet <br /> specifications required, therefore there is see no reason <br /> to go with the low bidder. <br /> Mayor Hankner asked if we would run into any <br /> of the problems we ran into last year. <br /> Minetor stated that there are no guarantees, <br /> but we are looking at some of the problems <br /> that have occurred around the area and try to <br /> minimize any problems . <br /> Motion/Second: Quick/Paone to approve the staff <br /> recommendation for the 10% contingency of <br /> $37,748 .58 and award the Street Maintenance Bid to <br /> Astech Corporation. <br /> 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br /> Ulrich reported that Harely Leveler Rigg is used to 4 . Harley <br /> level dirt, rake beaches, and level chip paths . Leveler <br /> As per the Council, We received bids on the Leveler Rake and <br /> the Rake and Post Hole Auger which were going to Post Hole <br /> Ake in with the original tractor bid. With the trade Auger <br /> r of two other pieces of equipment that were previously <br /> declared surplus, these two items are worth about <br /> $1, 000 . 00 to one of the bidders . If we would agree <br /> to purchase these we would like to award the bid to <br />
