Call to <br /> Mayor Hankner at 7 :05 PM on Monday, July 23, 1990. Order <br /> The Pledge of Allegiance was said. 2. Pledge of <br /> Allegiance <br /> MEMBERS PRESENT: Councilmembers Blanchard, Paone, 3. Roll Call <br /> Wuori, Quick and Mayor Hankner. <br /> ALSO PREESNT: City Attorney Karney and City Engineer/ <br /> Public Works Director Minetor. <br /> •Motion/Second: Blanchard/Wuori to approve the July 4. Approval of <br /> 9, 1990 minutes as presented. Minutes : <br /> July 9, 1990 <br /> 5 ayes 0 nays <br /> Motion Carried <br /> Mayor Hankner reported the Irondale High School 5 . Special <br /> Marching Knights had recently placed first in the Order of <br /> AAA category of marching bands in the Grand Day Business <br /> Aquatennial Parade, and she extended congratulations <br /> to the band and director, Jeff Goldsmith. <br /> Mr. Goldsmith thanked the Council . He explained he <br /> has worked with the group to build it over the past <br /> three years to its present 125 students . The drumline <br /> won . in the Torchlight Parade also. Mr. Goldsmith <br /> introduced the band members and parents present. <br /> Mayor Hankner presented the certificate of commenda- <br /> tion to the band and wished them continued success. <br /> Mayor Hankner recognized Keith Anderson, a vocational <br /> teacher at Irondale, for his accomplishments. <br /> Or. Anderson explained the competitions the group <br /> had won, both at the state and national level, in <br /> the Plymouth Chrysler troubleshooting competition. <br /> Mayor Hankner presented a certificate of commenda- <br /> tion to Mr. Anderson and wished him continued <br /> success . <br />
