The intent at this time is to get <br /> this out before the public early. It will be <br /> discussed further at a future agenda session. <br /> Mr. Remmick clarified that the approximate cost of <br /> improvements would be $2.1 - 2. 5 million. <br /> Mr. Minetor reviewed the proposed responses to 10. He explained a primary concern Regarding <br /> is the inability to ever expand the capacity of the Water Treatment <br /> plant if the existing building is retrofitted. The Plant <br /> approximate cost of a new building is $360, 000, <br /> which would require a 7% annual rate of increase <br /> over the next five years . Mr. Minetor asked that <br /> the Council consider authorizing Short, EllioLL, <br /> Hendrickson to prepare plans and specs. <br /> Mayor Hankner noted the Council has discussed this <br /> a number of times. <br /> Motion/Second: Quick/Blanchard to authorize Staff <br /> to direct Short, Elliott, Hendrickson to prepare <br /> plans and specs for construction of a new water <br /> treatment plan building at the Well #3 site. <br /> 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br /> Illouncilmember Quick noted an additional problem <br /> of manganese in the water. <br />
