,T <br /> • <br /> MEMORANDUM <br /> TO: Mayor and City Council <br /> FROM: City Planner, Michelle Hren <br /> DATE: April 11, 1990 <br /> SUBJECT: Steve Melby, Conditional Use Permit and Variance <br /> 8419 Spring Lake Road, Planning Case <br /> No. 290-90 <br /> Mr. Steve Melby has applied for a Conditional Use Permit and a <br /> Variance for an oversized accessory building at the property <br /> located at 8419 Spring Lake Road. <br /> Mr. Melby was issued a building permit by the temporary build- <br /> ing inspector while Mr. Tobias was on vacation. The site plan <br /> that the applicant submitted did not indicate that there was a <br /> garage that already existed on the property and as such was <br /> issued a building permit. When Mr. Melby called for an in- <br /> spection, Mr. Tobias noticed that there was already a garage <br /> 411 on the property and indicated to Mr. Melby the problem. <br /> The accessory building exceeds the allowable square footage <br /> for a building of that type, therefore, the variance request. <br /> The Planning Commission approved the Variance request and <br /> recommended to the City Council approval of the conditional <br /> Use Permit for the oversized accessory building. <br /> Staff is looking for direction regarding the appropriate <br /> resolution to prepare for this request. <br /> 411 <br />
