<br />Item No: 5E <br />Meeting Date: 06/05/06 <br /> Type of Business: WS <br />City of Mounds View Staff Report <br />To: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From: Kurt Ulrich, City Administrator <br />Item Title/Subject: NATOA Conference for Communications Coordinator <br /> <br /> <br />It is requested that consideration be given to authorizing Communication Coordinator <br />Kimberly Blackford to attend the National Association of Telecommunications Officers <br />and Advisor’s (NATOA) annual conference August 22-25, 2006 in Lake Buena Vista, <br />Florida. <br /> <br />The item has been budgeted in the 2006 budget as $1,000 for one national conference <br />attendance. The budgeted funds would pay for transportation, lodging, and meals. The <br />North Suburban Cable Commission has agreed to pay the tuition of $495. <br /> <br />The conference program is attached. The conference will allow this new employee of the <br />City to gain technical knowledge and to build contacts within the cable communications <br />profession. <br /> <br />It is recommended that the City Council authorize attendance of Communications <br />Coordinator Blackford to attend the NATOA conference. <br />
