Mounds View Planning Commission July 6 , 1988 <br /> Regular Meeting Page Two <br /> IIIChairman Mountin asked Planner Herman to check with <br /> the City Attorney to see if they could deny a sub- <br /> division because the only access would be through an <br /> acquired easement through a new parcel. <br /> Concern was also expressed with the front yard setback <br /> and whether there was enough room to have the house <br /> placed in line with the others on the block, as well <br /> as having a house in front of a house, for matters <br /> such as fire protection. The fact was also discussed <br /> that if the subdivision was approved, it would allow • <br /> for a house without any street frontage. <br /> City Planner Herman reviewed the Code, which states <br /> that street frontage is required. She stated she <br /> would discuss the matter with the City Attorney and <br /> get back to the Planning Commission. <br /> Motion/Second: Zollner/Saunders to table this item <br /> until the next agenda session, on July 20, 1988. <br /> 4 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br /> City Planner Herman reported she had received a 6. Staff Report <br /> revision of the Comp Planupdate, and she will be <br /> • sending it to the Planning Commission sometime in <br /> August.. <br /> City Planner Herman invited the Planning Commission <br /> to attend the public hearing the Council will be <br /> holding on the Harstad development on July 25 . She <br /> added it would be televised. <br /> City Planner Herman reported she had metwith deve <br /> lopers earlier who are interested in putting a mini <br /> storage facility on the Kraus/Anderson property behind <br /> Burger King. <br /> Chairman Mountin .stated that since Don Peters had 7 . Chairman's <br /> indicated he would be resigning from the Planning Report <br /> Commission, but his resignation had not been received, <br /> action could be taken to vacate his office, so as to <br /> begin the process of getting a new Commissioner. <br /> Motion/Second Zollner/Miller that it be deemed that <br /> Don Peters hasvacated his seat on the Planning <br /> Commission. <br /> 4 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br /> • <br />
