She noted, however, the applicant ' s " <br /> house was set back 4' due to being on a curve, but <br /> she does not favor granting a variance. <br /> Motion/Second: Miller/Dian to adopt Resolution <br /> No. 285-90, denying the setback variance request <br /> by Tom Plumb, 7359 Park View Terrace, Planning <br /> Case no. 293-90, and waive the reading. <br /> 3 ayes 2 nays Motion Carried <br /> Commissioner Jones voted against the motion, <br /> stating he believes the curvature of the street <br /> 411 which required an additional 4 ' setback at the <br /> front of the lot created a hardship, as the small <br /> size of the lot prevents a reasonable alternative <br /> to building in any other direction, and the variance <br /> process is to allow residents alternatives. <br />
