Call to Order <br /> order by Chair Mountin at 7:18 p.m. on Monday, May 7, <br /> 1990. <br /> MEMBERS PRESENT: Commissioners Dian, Jones, Miller, 2 . Roll Call <br /> and Chair Mountin. <br /> MEMBERS ABSENT: Commissioners Zollner, Burgers, and <br /> Colleen. <br /> ALSO PRESENT: City Planner Hren, Councilmembers <br /> Wuori, Blanchard, Quick, Paone, Mayor Hankner, <br /> Engineer Minetor and Clerk-Administrator Pauley. <br /> •City Planner Hren reviewed the request by Kunz Oil 3 . Consideration <br /> for a variance to locate a temporary building within of Resolution <br /> the setback requirement. The Planning Commission and No. 289-90 <br /> City Council reviewed City Attorney Mark Karney's Regarding <br /> letter dated May 7, 1990, regarding the processing of Variance <br /> this request as a variance or a conditional use Request by Kunz <br /> permit. There was general discussion on which tank Oil, 2280 <br /> leaked and whether it was a reconditioned tank or a County Road I, <br /> new tank. There was also general discussion Planning Case <br /> regarding the possibility of a dangerous situation No. 295-90 <br /> with the location of the sanitary sewer lines. <br /> However, it was explained that there is not an <br /> immediate threat to the surrounding residents. <br /> There was also discussion on the process of cleaning <br /> up the contamination spill and the length of time <br /> needed to do this. <br /> The Planning Commission discussed a monitoring well <br /> that possibly would remain once the clean up is <br /> complete. There was also discussion regarding the <br /> future clean up for cases that come before the City <br /> and that the public needs to be notified. <br /> Dahl & Associates explained that there is a test once <br /> every five years on tanks required by the Minnesota <br /> "'Pollution Control Agency.
