• Mounds View Planning Commission April 16, 1997
Special Meeting Page 13
Commission requested that, prior to review by the City Council, traffic numbers be
provided for the restaurant uses.
David Chase, 5244 Skiba Drive, inquired if parking requirements would change if
the restaurants were added. Director Sheldon indicated that they had not yet
examined the two parcels, but that they could add a parking ratio to the PUD and
the applicant would have to size the restaurant to fit the parking and the
restaurants within the limits of the parcels.
Mr. Anthony inquired when the PUD documents are to be signed. He also had
some concerns with Louise O'Neil's signature being required. Director Sheldon
indicated that this issue could be discussed by their attorneys.
Council Liaison Koopmeiners joined the meeting at 10:10 p.m.
Motion/Second: Obert/Stevenson to adopt Resolution No. 503-97 entitled, "Resolution
Recommending Approval of a Rezoning from B-1 and R-2 to Planned Unit Development
(PUD), and of a General Concept Plan, for Commercial Uses on the O'Neil Property, 2430
• Highway 10; Planning Case No. 471-97", as amended.
Mr. Anthony requested that if they could not get action taken on the request in the
time frame discussed that the restaurant uses be removed from the PUD. Director
Sheldon indicated that he could certainly negotiate with Council regarding that
issue.
Motion Carried: 5 ayes, 0 nays
Chair Peterson informed the applicant that this item would be discussed at the City
Council meeting in May (Staff was not sure of the specific date).
There was a 15-minute intermission.
•
