• Mounds View Planning Commission August 20, 1997 <br /> Special Meeting Page 7 <br /> Chair Peterson reported to the Commission that on August 13, 1997 there was a task <br /> force meeting to narrow down possible concept plans for the Highway 10 Study. <br /> Commissioners Brooks and Miller are both on the task force and a possible decision may <br /> be presented to the Commission by next week. <br /> 10. Adjournment <br /> There being no further business before the Special Meeting of the Planning Commission, Chair <br /> Peterson adjourned the meeting at 8:30 p.m. <br /> AGENDA MEETING <br /> 1. <br /> Planning Case No. 501-97, 502-97 <br /> SE Corner of Highway 10 and Silver Lake Road <br /> Applicant: Silverview Estates Development Company <br /> Discuss Preliminary Plat and Development Review <br /> • Planner Peters introduced himself as the interim replacement for Pam Sheldon until a new <br /> Community Development Director can be hired. <br /> Planner Peters reviewed his August 20, 1997 Memo in which it was stated the plan <br /> review is for the development of a convenience market/gas station/car wash on the corner <br /> of Highway 10 and Silver Lake Road; 30,000 square feet of office space, and an 82-unit <br /> senior housing building. <br /> Planner Peters explained to the Commission at an earlier time there had been a scaling <br /> error made that indicated that there were going to be 83 housing units in the 84,000 <br /> square feet building. In the current plan the building wilLhave 82 housing units on the <br /> building foot print of 115,800 square feet. An amendment to the PUD concept plan that <br /> was approved as of May 27, 1997 will be required to approve the additional square <br /> footage. The PUD amendment issue has been turned over to the City Attorney to advise <br /> staff on how to proceed with this process. <br /> Planner Peters asked the applicant to review for the Commission colored renderings of <br /> the site and a material board which would indicate the types of finish materials to be used <br /> on the proposed project. <br /> Mr. Black, from Royal Oaks Reality, made the presentation as requested. He told the <br /> Commissioners that there would be 28 one-bedroom apartments and 54 two-bedroom <br />
