Comprehensive Guide plan Update <br /> Dorgan reviewed the housing related comments from the community forums held earlier <br /> this year. <br /> Peterson suggested bringing up the truth-in-housing issue before the City Council again to <br /> reinvestigate the possibility of hiring the required staff to perform this duty. <br /> It was the consensus of the Commission to include in the Comprehensive Plan Update a <br /> truth-in-housing regulation that would make it a requirement that all health and safety <br /> related issues be brought up to code before a home could be sold. <br /> VI. Initiatives That Mounds View is Currently Working On <br /> Dorgan summarized the current housing related programs that the City is currently <br /> working on including the rental li ensing program, the MHFA Community Fix-Up Fund, a <br /> • home improvement fair, the housing replacement proram, and the plan book project. <br /> Jopke handed out a current draft of the Community Background Section of the <br /> Comprehensive Plan. <br /> 6. Chairperson and Planning Commission Reports <br /> Director Jopke told the Commission the theater project is still on hold waiting for the <br /> owner to amend the contract with the general contractor. Building permits will be issued <br /> as soon as the contract is renegotiated and signed. <br /> The City Council approved the amended PUD plan for Silverview Estates Senior <br /> Cooperative development by Realife of Mounds View Inc. <br /> All members of the Commission were given copies to review of applications for the open <br /> Planning Commission position. <br /> The City Council authorized staff to enter into an option to purchase and request RFPs on <br /> the vacant Midland Videen property. <br /> 7.
