0 PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 585-99 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING ADOPTION OF PROPOSED ORDINANCE 632,AN <br /> ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 1113 OF THE MOUNDS VIEW ZONING CODE <br /> PERTAINING TO PERMITTED USES WITHIN THE B-2, LIMITED BUSINESS <br /> DISTRICT; SPECIAL PLANNING CASE NO. SP-082-99 <br /> WHEREAS, the Mounds View Planning Commission has reviewed proposed Ordinance <br /> 632, an ordinance amending Chapter 1113 of the Mounds View Zoning Code; and, <br /> WHEREAS, Chapter 1113 of the Mounds View Zoning Code pertains to the B-2, <br /> Limited Business district; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the purpose of the B-2 zoning district, as stated in Section 1113.01, is to <br /> provide for low intensity, retail or service outlets which deal directly with the customer for whom <br /> the goods or services are furnished; and, <br /> IIIWHEREAS, the list of allowed uses as presented in Section 1113.02, Subdivisions 1 and <br /> 2, does not include "Private educational facilities;" and, <br /> WHEREAS, it is the finding of the Mounds View Planning Commission that this use is <br /> sufficiently similar to other listed uses and is considered to be an appropriate use for this district. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED,the Mounds View Planning Commission <br /> hereby recommends to the City Council that proposed Ordinance 632 be adopted to permit <br /> private educational facilities within the B-2, Limited Business commercial zoning district. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Planning Commission directs Staff to forward <br /> this resolution to the City Council prior to approval of the minutes. <br /> Adopted this 7th day of July, 1999. <br /> *N-v.--- <br /> Jerry Pete n, hairperson <br /> ATTEST: <br /> ___Ct-A/ 3---CY ),ej____----------- <br /> Rick'Jopke, Commu ty Development Director <br /> 1110 (SEAL) <br /> N:\DATA\GROUPS\COMDE V\SPECPROJ\SP072-99\5 85-99PC.RES <br />
