Mr. Paul Harrington
December 27, 1991
Page Two
We request that you place all three enclosed Planning
Applications on the earliest possible meeting schedule with
the Planning Commission and City Council. We understand
that the likely schedule is as follows:
City Council Workshop Meeting 1/6/92
(to discuss whether CUP requirement
applies to Saturn project)
Planning Commission Agenda Session 1/15/92
Planning Commission Regular Meeting , 2/5/92
City Council Workshop Session 2/3/92
City Council Regular Meeting 2/10/92
(to set public hearing date)
• City Council Regular Meeting - 2/24/92
Public Hearing
Please advise us promptly if you anticipate any problems
with or changes in the foregoing schedule. A prompt and
favorable resolution of the enclosed applications is
important to the Saturn representatives, our prospective
tenant for Building H, and to the Everest Group. We
respectfully request your assistance and that of other City
staff and elected officials in expediting the approval of
these applications, to the end that Mounds View Business
Parkwill continue to attract the kind of quality, growth-
oriented companies of which the City, its residents, and the
Everest Group can be proud.
As a final note, please be advised that the Saturn
Conditional Use Application is being submitted as a courtesy
and in response to the City Council's interpretation that an
automobile dealership use requires a conditional use permit
under applicable City ordinances. As we have previously
discussed, in our opinion the proposed Saturn automobile
dealership is a permitted use under the existing B-3 Highway
Commercial Zoning, and not subject to conditional use permit
