dkivrLAD
MEMORANDUM
TO: PLANNING COMMISSION
FROM: PAUL HARRINGTON, PLANNER ?A
DATE: February 13, 1992
SUBJECT: VARIANCE - SIDEYARD SETBACK
HERBST & SON'S, 2299 COUNTY ROAD H
Russell Herbst, representing Herbst & Son's, has made application
for a variance to allow the construction of a 60 ' x 68 ' addition to
their existing facility at 2299 County Road H. The variance
requested would allow the addition to be located at a five(5) foot
sideyard setback where a 20 foot setback is required by Municipal
Code(Chapter 40 . 05 Subdivision C; I-1, Industrial) .
Currently, an 80 ' x 140' building is located on the site at a 5 '
sideyard setback. The proposal would allow the addition to
continue the building line(5 ' setback) of the existing facility.
• In May of 1986, the Mounds View Planning Commission approved
Resolution No. 161-86 which recommended approval of a subdivision
of the property now known as 2299 County Road H. Reference was
made in this resolution to the existence of a 5 ' sideyard setback.
At that time it was determined that the setback was not the result
of actions of the property owner.
All materials received as part of the application have been
included for your review. In addition, I have included a copy of
Planning Commission Resolution No. 161-86 which was earlier
referenced.
If you have any questions relative to this case, please feel free
to give me a call.
•
