LINAPPROVED <br /> Mounds View Planning Commission September 1, 1993 <br /> •egular Meeting Page 4 <br /> Chair Mountin voted against approval of <br /> the resolution - not because she has <br /> objections to the plan as presented, but <br /> rather that she objects to the principle <br /> of allowing accessory buildings in comm- <br /> ercial districts. The language of the <br /> code is fairly vague - in the past, it <br /> has been interpreted as allowing acces- <br /> sory buildings, but Chair Mountin feels <br /> that this interpretation sets a bad. <br /> precedent. Also, while accessory uses <br /> are allowed in the code, Chair Mountin <br /> does not feel that this use is "reason- <br /> able and incidental" to the principal <br /> use of the property. She stated that <br /> the applicant has done a good job <br /> working within the constraints of the <br /> site, but she cannot vote in favor of <br /> this proposal given the above concerns. <br /> Planner Harrington reported that Everest 7 . Staff Report <br /> Development had withdrawn its requests <br /> regarding the proposed expansion of <br /> Multi-Tech. Everest has asked for a <br /> refund of its planning fees, which staff <br /> feels is reasonable given that minimal <br /> staff time was spent on the proposal. <br /> Motion/Second: Miller/Nelson to <br /> recommend to the City Council that all <br /> planning fees regarding the Multi-Tech <br /> expansion be refunded to Everest <br /> Development. <br /> - -. <br /> Chair Mountin stated that she was 8 . Reports of <br /> pleased to see that the Park-and-Ride at Chair and <br /> County Road H was being expanded, but Commissioners <br /> wondered why there had been no Planning <br /> Commission review of the proposal. <br /> Planner Harrington answered that the <br /> area is technically out of the <br /> jurisdiction of the City, as it is <br /> completely highway right-of-way. <br /> Commissioner Peterson announced that the <br /> next meeting of the Golf Course Task <br /> Force would be September 9th at 6: 00 <br /> p.m. The anticipated topic is the <br />
