• MEMORANDUM <br /> TO: PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> FROM: PAUL HARRINGTON, PLANNER <br /> DATE: October 15, 1993 <br /> SUBJECT: C.U.P. - RESIDENTIAL DOG KENNEL <br /> VICTORIA BOWERS, 8351 GROVELAND ROAD <br /> Victoria Bowers has made application for a Conditional Use Permit <br /> to allow the establishment of a residential dog kennel at 8351 <br /> Groveland Road. Chapter 40. 10 Subdivision D(4) of the Mounds View <br /> III Municipal Code allows for dog/cat kennels of no more than four(4) <br /> animals in residential zone districts with a conditional use <br /> permit; Ms. Bowers request is for the housing of three(3) dogs on <br /> the site. The applicants property is currently zoned R-1, Single <br /> Family Residential. <br /> In addition to the requirements outlined in Chapter 40, all <br /> • applicants requesting residential dog kennels must circulate a <br /> petition to property owners within 500 feet of the subject <br /> property (Chapter 91. 01 Subdivision 19) explaining the request. At <br /> least 50% of those properties located within 500 feet must sign the <br /> petition in order for the request to be placed on an agenda for <br /> discussion and consideration.
