MEMORANDUM <br /> • <br /> TO: PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> FROM: PAUL HARRINGTON, PLANNERN ' <br /> DATE: November 13 , 1992 <br /> SUBJECT: VARIANCE - 2119 TERRACE DRIVE <br /> ROSS TARANTINO, PLANNING CASE NO. 356-92 <br /> Ross Tarantino, 2119 Terrace Drive, has made application for a <br /> variance to allow for the construction of a garage at a setback <br /> less than that specified by the Municipal Code. <br /> The applicants property is located in an R-1, Single Family <br /> Residential zone district which requires a 30' front yard setback. <br /> However, Chapter 40.05 Subdivision C (a) states that "Where <br /> adjacent structures within the same block have front yard setbacks <br /> different from those required, the front yard setback shall be <br /> within the range of the adjacent structures. . . " . At present, <br /> both the applicant and the two adjacent property owners have 49.5' <br /> front yard setbacks to their principal structures. The applicant <br /> . is requesting that he be allowed to encroach 14' into that setback. <br /> I have included all materials received as part of this application. <br /> In addition, I have provided City maps which are applicable to this <br /> particular case. <br /> If you have any questions, please feel free to give me a call. <br /> • _ <br />
