If any room has a furred ceiling, the prescribed ceiling height is <br /> required in. two-thirds (2/3) the area thereof, but in no case shall the <br /> height of the furred ceiling be less than seven feet (7'). <br /> b. Floor Area: Dwelling units and rooming units shall have at least one <br /> (1) room which shall have not less than one hundred twenty (120) <br /> square feet of floor area. Other habitable rooms, except kitchens, she 11 <br /> have an area of not less than seventy (70) square feet. Where more <br /> than two {2} persons occupy a room used for sleeping purposes, the <br /> required floor area shall be increased at the rate of fifty (50) square <br /> feet for each occupant. <br /> Sec. 3. Section 1005.12, subdivision 2 of the Mounds View City Code is <br /> amended by adding a new subparagraph to read: <br /> d. The certificate shall state that the structure has been inspected and <br /> is in compliance with the requirements of this Chapter. <br /> Sec. 4. Section 1005.12, subdivision 4 of the Mounds View City Code is <br /> amended to read: <br /> Subd. 4- Annual Renewal of Registration: The owner of a multiple <br /> dwelling or his agent shall annually apply for a renewal of the <br /> certificate of registration on or before September March 30. <br /> Renewal of the registration is contingent upon compliance with <br /> this Chapter. <br /> 411/ Sec- 5. Section 1005.12, subdivision 5 of the Mounds View City Code is <br /> amended to read: <br /> Subd. 5. Transfer of Registration: A certificate of registration for the <br /> unexpired portion of the licensed term is transferrable, for a fee <br /> of fifteen dollars ($15), to any person who has actually acquired <br /> legal ownership of a registered building for the uncarpirod <br /> term for which it -wac ucd or _'ciccued; <br /> provided, that the application to t. ancfcr zuch registration <br /> le Itis the responsibilit ofVthe current <br /> owner to notify the purchaser that a transfer must be filed with <br /> the Building Inspection Department immediately upon aceuiring <br /> legal ownership. The license shall terminate upon failure to <br /> apply for its transfer within 30 days following the prior to <br /> ('hA n ge of legal ownership. <br /> Sec- S. Section 1005.12 is amended by adding a new subdivision to read: <br /> Subd. 8.
