Resolution No. 449-96 Background: Kirk Olson, representing Merryville Farm Markets, is requesting a conditional use permit to operate outdoor sales of produce at the MoundsView Square Shopping Center. His intention is to place his produce sales along the southwest entrance to MoundsView Square. As you may recall, Linder's Greenhouses was issued a conditional use permit in 1996 for open and outdoor sales at MoundsView Square Shopping Center. Linder's conditional use permit allows greenhouse sales from March 20, 1996 to July 15, 1996. Mr. Olson has submitted a permission letter from Paster Enterprises for use of the parking area for the sales of produce and verification of insurance. He has also provided references for your review and consideration in this packet. Mr. Olson will not need any water hookups because he is selling only produce, which does not require a water supply. The produce sales, proposed to be located along the south west entrance at MoundsView Square will be housed in a temporary stand. Staff faxed over the color photographs Mr. Olson provided to the Planning Commission at the May 15, 1996 Agenda meeting to Stephanie of Paster Enterprises to verify the pumpkin sales set up • was acceptable. Apparently, miscommunication occurred between Paster Enterprises and the applicant. Stephanie was not aware of the size for the proposed Pumpkin Land at MoundsView Square. Stephanie contacted Staff and stated she would only allow the produce stand from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 •
