On March 14, 2005 the City Council approved Resolution 6436 approving several Public Works seasonal positions, including seven (7) summer seasonal positions of the original ten (10) that were proposed. Resolution 6481 Approving the General Concept Plan for 105-Room Expansion to the AmericInn Hotel at the Mermaid Event and Entertainment Center located at 2200 County Road 10. Applicant and property owner Dan Hall is requesting concept plan review of a proposed 105-room, four-story hotel addition that would be connected to the existing hotel at the south end by a skywalk system. The draft plans indicate 81 rooms with a possible 24 additional rooms to the west. The applicant desires general concept plan consideration before going to the time and expense of preparing full-scale engineered site plans. Staff recommends that the City Council approve Resolution 6481 approving the general concept plan for the 105-room expansion to the AmericInn Hotel at the Mermaid Event Center located at 2200 County Road 10.
