Thomas/Flaherty. To approve Resolution 6490 Step/Longevity Increases 8
for Officer Tim Wolf and Officer Kirk Leitch. 9
10
Ayes-4 Nays-0 Motion carried. 11
12
F. Resolution 6498 Adopting City Vision and Mission Statement, Goals 13
Program, Values Statement and Rules of Conduct. 14
15
City Clerk/Administrator Ulrich suggested delaying action on this item until Mayor Marty could 16
be 17
in attendance. 18
19
Acting Mayor Stigney stated he also had wanted some input from the residents at the Town Hall 20
meeting before they do that, and they needed to look over the survey results at a work session 21
to see how that ties into their goals. 22
23
Council Member Thomas stated they could present this as their goals at the Town Hall meeting 24
on the 30th, and if they were to do it at a work session along with the survey, that would come 25
after. She stated there are a couple of options. They could present it at the Town Hall meeting 26
on a proposed list and see if there are any changes they could make to that, or they could go 27
ahead and adopt it at the next Council meeting. She stated it’s a matter of what they want to do 28
because there isn’t going to be another work session before the Town Hall meeting. 29
30
Acting Mayor Stigney stated they should provide the input to the residents at the Town Hall 31
meeting and subsequently have a work session to modify the goals somewhat depending on 32
survey results and any comments received. 33
34
City Clerk/Administrator Ulrich suggested presenting this as a draft and using the public input to 35
shape 36
them up, which would mean delaying it until after the input at the public meeting. He stated 37
one of the Council’s goals was to listen to the citizens. He stated this is a good opportunity to 38
weave that into the mission and the goals as they go along and make those adjustments, in 39
accordance with the survey, and delay this until the May 9th Council meeting. 40
41
MOTION/SECOND. Thomas/Gunn. To postpone action on this item until May 9th. 42
43
Ayes-4 Nays-0 Motion carried. 44
45
