Item 8C <br /> Consent Agenda <br /> Monday, April 25, 2005 <br /> City Administrator Review: ______ <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 6501 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br /> <br />PROCLAIMING APRIL 29, 2005 AS “ARBOR DAY” <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View has been recognized for twenty- <br />three consecutive years as Tree City USA by the National Arbor Day Foundation <br />for its efforts in urban forestry; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, trees in our City beautify our surroundings, shade our parks <br />and residences, increase property values and enhance the economic vitality of <br />business areas, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, neighbors and scouts will be planting trees at Sunnyside <br />School; and <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that April 29, 2005, be Arbor <br />Day in Mounds View and public-spirited and foresighted citizens be called upon <br />to assist in the planting of trees now for the use and enjoyment of present and <br />future generations. <br /> <br /> <br />Adopted this 25th day of April, 2005 <br /> <br /> <br /> ___________________________________ <br />Rob Marty, Mayor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> <br /> <br /> ___________________________________ <br />Kurt Ulrich, Clerk/Administrator <br /> <br /> <br />(seal)
