<br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 6537 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACQUISITION OF USE DEEDS FROM RAMSEY <br />COUNTY FOR STORMWATER MANAGEMENT PURPOSES ON TAX-FORFEITED <br />PROPERTY WITHIN THE SHERWOOD ESTATES SUBDIVISION; <br />SPECIAL PLANNING CASE NO. SP-139-05. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, two parcels located within the City of Mounds View have been identified <br />by Ramsey County as being a tax-forfeited property, said property being legally described <br />as follows: <br /> <br />Lot 3, Block 2 and Outlot B <br />Sherwood Estates <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the parcels are unimproved and are situated within a designated <br />stormwater management area; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the subject parcel performs a vital hydrological function in the City’s <br />drainage system by providing over one half-acre of pervious surface and natural area over <br />and into which stormwater runoff can be filtered and absorbed; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the subject parcel acts as a natural buffer between County Road 10 and <br />residential subdivision known as Sherwood Estates; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Directors of Public Works and Community Development jointly <br />recommend that the City obtain perpetual use-deeds for the above-described, tax-forfeited <br />properties for purposes of continued stormwater management. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mounds View City Council <br />authorizes staff to make application for use-deeds over the Sherwood Estates parcels <br />described as Lot 3, Block 2 and Outlot B for purposes of stormwater management. <br /> <br />Adopted this 23rd day of May, 2005. <br /> <br /> ____________________________________ <br /> Rob Marty, Mayor <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> ____________________________________ <br /> Kurt Ulrich, City Clerk / Administrator <br /> <br /> <br />SEAL <br />
