The DNR will also be stocking the <br />lake this spring with large mouth bass and black crappies. <br /> <br /> <br />WATER TREATMENT PLANT - Media Replenishment Project <br />On March 1, 2005 the City Council approved Resolution 6466 approving a <br />contract to replenish the media filters at Water Treatment Plant No. 1. This work <br />has been completed. The employees involved should be commended for <br />developing and executing this project. <br /> <br /> <br />CITY HALL ELECTRONIC MESSAGE BOARD <br />On March 1, 2005 Staff presented options to address operational issues with the <br />City’s electronic message board located at City Hall. <br /> (Option 1) Repair and Replace all Major Components: Cost $7,052 <br /> (Option 2) Retrofit Current 2 Line Double Sided Message Board to a LED <br />Lighting Display: Cost $33,139 Provides a payback period of fifty–one (51) <br />months from an energy consumption standpoint. <br /> (Option 3) Retrofit Current Message Board to an LED Lighting Display <br />with a Three Line Double Sided Display: Cost $57,577 <br /> (Option 4) <br />To halt the operation of the electronic message board and remove it from <br />service. Revenue +$3,050 <br /> <br />The direction given at the meeting was to continue to operate the message board <br />as is and continue to perform minor maintenance (bulb replacement). <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />MISCELLANEOUS NOTES <br /> <br />Silver Lake Woods Condominiums – Dedication of Private Streets <br />This issue continues to be discussed between the City’s legal counsel and the <br />association’s legal counsel. The City’s legal counsel believes that the City has <br />given them enough information as to the issues involved. It is now up to the <br />association to decide how they want to proceed. <br /> <br />Staff has informed the board members of the association that the City will not be <br />conducting a street project in 2005 and most likely not conduct one until 2007. <br />The association is working on internal issues related to the dedication of their <br />streets. Staff and the City’s legal counsel will continue to work with the Silver <br />Lake Woods Condominium Association on the issues pertaining to the dedication <br />of their streets to the City. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
