<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 6539 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPLICTION TO THE MINNESOTA POLLUTION <br />CONTROL AGENCY VOLUNTARY INVESTIGATION AND CLEANUP PROGRAM TO <br />REQUEST A NO ACTION LETTER FOR CITY PROPERTY KNOWN AS THE FORMER <br />SYSCO PROPERTY; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Conestoga-Rovers and Associates (CRA), a consultant for <br />Medtronic, Inc., has conducted an environmental assessment of the City property <br />known as the Bridges of Mounds View and the former Sysco property; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, CRA found debris, including concrete, bricks and tires, buried on the <br />former Sysco property; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City can request a No Action letter from the Minnesota Pollution <br />Control Agency (MPCA) Voluntary Investigation and Cleanup Program (VIC), which would <br />provide assurance that the City will not be responsible for future cleanup requirements. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the Mounds View City Council <br />authorizes Staff to apply for a No Action letter from the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency <br />Voluntary Investigation and Cleanup Program. <br /> <br />Adopted this 23rd day of May, 2005. <br /> <br /> <br />__________________________________________ <br />Rob Marty, Mayor <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br />__________________________________________ <br />Kurt Ulrich, City Clerk/Administrator <br /> <br />(SEAL)
