Item No. 08G <br />Type of Business: CB <br />Meeting Date: July 11, 2005 <br />City Administrator Review: _____ <br /> <br />City of Mounds View Staff Report <br />To: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From: Kurt Ulrich, City Administrator <br />Item Title/Subject: Appointing a Candidate for the Finance Director Position <br /> <br /> <br />According to the Recruitment Process outlined in the May 2, 2005 Work Session, a <br />candidate should be considered on July 11, 2005. Most of the City Council has <br />conducted interviews on the two Finance Director Candidates Staff has completed <br />Criminal Background checks, and both have passed. Staff is currently checking <br />references on each candidate. A credit check would be conducted on the selected <br />finalist. <br /> <br />If a suitable candidate is apparent, staff recommends that the City Administrator be <br />authorized to present an offer consistent with the position as advertised, submit to <br />formal City Council approval at the next City Council Meeting and satisfactory <br />completion of background checks. <br /> <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Kurt Ulrich, City Administrator <br /> <br />
