Reports of Mayor and Council 6 <br /> 7 <br />Mayor Marty noted Steve, a resident, had called him about a month ago, asking about the City 8 <br />hall remodel. He stated that he mentioned the conversation to City Clerk/Administrator Ulrich 9 <br />stating that it involved installing an air conditioning unit in the video room and shelving. He 10 <br />stated that the resident suggested that instead of taking the funds from the special project fund 11 <br />that they take it from the cable fund. He stated that he agrees with the suggestion adding that it is 12 <br />a very good idea. Council agreed. 13 <br /> 14 <br />Mayor Marty reminded everyone that the EDA is having a special public hearing next Monday, 15 <br />June 20, 2005 at 6:00 p.m. at the Community Center. He stated that the topic of discussion 16 <br />would be The Bridges Golf Course and the Medtronic proposal. 17 <br /> 18 <br /> B. Staff 19 <br /> 20 <br />City Clerk/Administrator Ulrich stated that they have interviewed two candidates for the Finance 21 <br />Director position. He stated that he intends to set up a meeting with the Council for the last week 22 <br />in June to have the Council interview the candidates. The Council suggested planning the 23 <br />interviews before next Council meeting. 24 <br /> 25 <br />City Clerk/Administrator Ulrich stated that he received responses regarding the renaming of 26 <br />Highway 10 noting that they did not particularly care for the name. 27 <br /> 28 <br />Mayor Marty stated that he spoke with the Harley Wells, the Mayor of Spring Lake Park, about 29 <br />the command vehicle they would be sharing with the Fire Departments. He stated that Spring 30 <br />Lake Park authorized the plans to go out for bids and once they got the bids they want it to come 31 <br />back to them. He stated that he was not sure if their resolution authorized that the bids come 32 <br />back to Council for their review and approval. 33 <br /> 34 <br />City Clerk/Administrator Ulrich stated that the bids would have to come back to Council for 35 <br />review and final approval. 36 <br /> 37 <br />C.
