The applicant desires to begin sales <br /> on November 29, the day after the Thanksgiving holiday, and was unaware that a <br /> conditional use permit is required for such sales. In order to have the permit before City <br /> Council for action prior to November 29, staff is requesting that the Planning Commission <br /> discuss and then make its recommendation on the permit at your meeting on November <br /> 20. We realize that this is not your usual procedure. Staff felt that since this request is for <br /> • temporary sales for a very limited time, is not too complicated and is tied to the holiday <br /> season (which cannot be rescheduled), it would be appropriate to request the Planning <br />
