The State of Ivlinnesota permits six or fewer foster <br />children in residentiai districts without municipal regulation. <br />Ms. Snyder made ihe request to add another £oster ctuld %llowing a City Cotancil worksession <br />discussion to revise ihe fbster care ordinance. The City Council expressed suppori far chartging <br />the Mounds View foster care ordinance to aIlaw up to eight foster children in residential districts. <br />Although this new ordinance has not been formally adopted as of yet, I believe it is th� Council's <br />intention to allow up to eight children at a foster care facility. <br />The additional child is a female �ander eighteen years of age who stili requires educatian on family <br />living skills, which Ms. Snyder feels the Waldoch's can provide. <br />On May 4�, 199b, Ms. Snyder was natified that it wouid be acceptabie to ailow this one <br />additional chiid into the faster care for the �265 Spring Lake Road facility, prior to the formai <br />adoption of the amer�ded foster care cod�. <br />
