MOUNDS VIEW PLANNING COMMISSION <br />RESOLUTION NO. 56-82A <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING THE AMENDING OF CHAPTER 40 OF <br />THE MOUNDS VIEW MUNICIPAL CODE REGARDING MANUFACTURED HOMES <br />WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota has enacted legislation <br />prohibiting the exclusion of manufactured homes in residential <br />districts; and <br />WHEREAS, this same legislation does state that a municipality <br />can regulate certain elements of manufactured home construction; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVTD that the Mounds View Planning <br />Commission recommends the amending of Chapter 40 of the Mounds View <br />Municipal Code by adding the following: <br />(1) Chapter 40.02 Rules and Definitions. <br />"Subd. B(68) Manufactured Home. A manufactured home <br />is one that is defined by Minnesota Statutes, 327. <br />(2) Chapter 40.06 Area and Building Size Regulations. <br />• "Subd. F Building Design Standards. <br />a. Foundation. A permanent foundation of concrete, <br />concrete block, or wood as approved by the State <br />Building Code is required for all residential struc- <br />tures with frost footings of at least 42 inches. <br />b. All residential structures,including manufactured <br />homes, must comply with the State Building Code for <br />single family homes. <br />c. All manufactured homes shall have available for <br />inspection, manufacturer's instructions specifying <br />how said home is to be situated on a permanent <br />foundation. <br />d. Unless located in a designated mobile home park, all <br />mobile homes or manufactured homes shall comply with <br />the provisions of Chapter 40, as amended from time <br />to time.
