MOUNDS VIEW PLANNING COMMISSION <br />RESOLUTION NO. 63-82 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMEDING APPROVAL OF A MINOR <br />SUBDIVISION AND REZONING FOR 8495 RED OAK DRIVE <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View Planning Commission has received an <br />application from Jim Pietrowski requesting approval for a minor <br />subdivision and rezoning of one of the subdivided lots from R-1 to <br />R-2; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has received and reviewed <br />reports from City staff regarding the request and its application to <br />the Mounds View Municipal Code; and <br />WHEREAS, the existing and proposed lots all meet or exceed <br />minimum Zoning Code requirements; and <br />WHEREAS, on March 4, 1981, the Planning Commission passed <br />Resolution No. 10-81 outlining criteria for R-2 rezoning requests; and <br />WHEREAS, this resolution stated that R-2 developments should <br />• continue to be calssified as low density housing and this type of <br />housing should be restricted to the periphery of low density zones in <br />areas where they would provide transition to higher density residen--' <br />tial or other more intensive land uses; and <br />WHEREAS, this proposed rezoning request does meet the above <br />criteria by being located on the periphery of a low density zone; and <br />WHEREAS, County Road J is considered a minor arterial with <br />airport property located north of County Road J; and <br />WHEREAS, an R-2 development would be appropriate for this <br />location; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View Planning <br />Commission recommends approval of the request by Jim Pietrowski to <br />subdivide the lot in question into two lots and rezone the easterly of <br />these two lots from R-1, single family to R-2, two family residential; <br />Adopted this 6th day of October, 1982. <br />ATTEST: <br />ChaTrma <br />(SEAL) I . <br />PubV <br />,V Works/Comma ity Development <br />Dir for <br />
