MOUNDS VIEW PLANNING COMMISSION <br />RESOLUTION NO. 69-83 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE VARIANCE REQUEST FOR <br />RICHARD EMERSON AT 2070 OAKWOOD DRIVE <br />WHEREAS, the owner of 2070 Oakwood Drive, Richard Emerson, <br />proposes to construct a second story only addition to his house; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, this addition is proposed to come within a distance <br />of 5 feet 4 inches from the east property line; and <br />WHEREAS, since this property is located on a corner, minimum. <br />setback is 30 feet; and <br />WHEREAS, from the original lot width of 105 feet, 45 feet <br />was taken for frontage road right-of-way, leaving a 60 foot frontage; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View Planning Commission finds this 45 <br />foot frontage right-of-way taking as a hardship by which a variance <br />is justified; and <br />WHEREAS, the property presently has two unimproved driveways <br />which have been grandfathered in; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View Planning <br />Commission approved the request for a 24 foot 8 inch variance for <br />required side yard setback for 2070 Oakwood Drive; <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the existing non -conforming <br />unimproved driveways be allowed to remain. <br />Adopted this 5th day of January, 1983. <br />ATTEST: Ale <br />Chairman <br />(SEAL) 1A4_ C•y . gin� <br />Dir for of Pub Works/Community <br />Dev opment <br />
