RESOLUTION NO. 78-83 <br />• CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION PROVIDING ADDITIONAL INPUT TO THE CITY COUNCIL <br />REGARDING REZONING REQUEST BY SAM DALBERG AND GLENN HANSON <br />WHEREAS, on February 2, 1983, the Mounds View Planning Commission <br />adopted Resolution No. 73-83 recommending approval to the City Council <br />of the following: <br />1) The rezoning of two lots which front Silver Lake Road from <br />R-1, Single Family Residential to R-3, Medium Density <br />Residential. <br />2) A minor subdivision (3 lots into 3). <br />3) A conditional use permit for the construction of townhouses <br />in an R-3 District. <br />4) Development approval for the construction of townhouses; and <br />WHEREAS, these recommendations were reviewed by the City Council <br />�t their regular meeting on April 25, 1983; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council at their April 25, 1983 meeting approved <br />the first reading of an ordinance to rezone the 2 lots which front Silver <br />Lake Road from R-1, Single Family Residential to R-2, Single and Two <br />Family Residential not to R-3, Medium Density Residential as had been <br />requested by the applicant and recommended for approval by the Planning <br />Commission; and <br />WHEREAS, on May 3, 1983, Mr. and Mrs. Dalberg and Mr. and Mrs. <br />Hanson submitted a letter to the City Council requesting a continuance of <br />the review on the rezoning of the properties; and <br />WHEREAS, in this letter, the Dalberg's and Hanson's asked the <br />City Council to consider the possibility of rezoning the south 100 feet <br />of the property fronting Silver Lake Road to R-2 and rezoning the north <br />133 feet to R-3; and <br />WHEREAS, following a lengthy discussion at the City Council meeting <br />of May 9, 1983, the City Council postponed the second reading of the <br />ordinance to rezone both lots to R-2 in order to receive Planning Commis- <br />sion input on the revised request and to conduct another public heairng; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed this item; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View Planning <br />40commission <br />concurs with the City Council's decision to rezone the two <br />lots fronting Silver Lake Road from R-1, Single Family Residential to R-2, <br />Single and Two Family Residential; <br />
