MOUNDS VIEW PLANNING COMMISSION <br />RESOLUTION NO. 82-83 <br />• CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RECOMMENDATION TO THE CITY COUNCIL REGARDING <br />PLANNING CASE 123-83, SAM DALBERG/GLENN HANSON <br />WHEREAS, on February 2, 1983, the Mounds View Planning Commission <br />adopted Resolution No. 73-83 recommending approval to the City Council <br />of the following: <br />1) The rezoning of two lots which front Silver Lake Road <br />from R-1 to R=3; <br />2) A minor subdivision (3 lots into 3); <br />3) A conditional use permit for the construction of town- <br />houses in an R-3 district; <br />4) Development approval for the construction of townhouses; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, on April 25, 1983, the City Council held a public <br />hearing and first reading of an ordinance to rezone the properties from <br />R-1 to R-2 not to R-3 as had been requested by the applicant and recom- <br />mended for approval by the Planning Commission; and <br />WHEREAS, On May 3, 1983, a letter was submitted by the applicants <br />asking the City Council to consider the possibility to rezone the south <br />100 feet of the properties which front Silver Lake Road to R-2 and the <br />north 133 feet to R-3; and <br />WHEREAS, at the May 18, 1983, special Planning Commission meeting, <br />the Commission adopted Resolution No. 73-83in response to the Council's <br />request to receive Planning Commission input into the rezoning; and <br />WHEREAS, this resolution concurred with the Council decision <br />to rezone both properties to R-2; and <br />WHEREAS, at the May 18th Planning Commission workshop meeting, <br />a proposal submitted by the applicants was submitted to the Planning <br />Commission for review and recommendation; and <br />WHEREAS, this proposal, rezoning the southern lot to R-2 and <br />northern lot which fronts Silver Lakd Road to R-3, was approved by the <br />Planning Commission and a recommendation of approval to the City Council <br />was given; and <br />• WHEREAS, at the City Council meeting of May 23, 1983, the Council <br />approved the minor subdivision of 3 lots. into 3 and a rezoning of the <br />
