MOUNDS VIEW PLANNING COMMISSION <br />RESOLUTION NO. 96-83 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING THE ADOPTION OF <br />CHAPTER 40 (ZONING CODE) REVISIONS TO THE CITY COUNCIL <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View City Charter requires that each <br />Chapter of the Municipal Code be reviewed every two vears; and <br />WHEREAS, the .Mounds View Planning Commission has comnleted <br />a review of the Zoning Code, Chapter 40, and is recommending to <br />the City Council numerous revisions to the text, a copy of which <br />is attached to this resolution; and <br />WHEREAS, in reviewing the text, the Planning Commission is <br />recommending the introduction of an R-5 Residential Zoning <br />District entitled, "Mobile Home District", which is intended <br />to replace existing Chapter 43 of the Municipal Code; and <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View Planning Commission has also <br />completed a review, on a parcel by parcel basis, of the zonings <br />O of all lots within the City of Mounds View and is recommending <br />to the City Council that rezonings be initiated on the lots <br />identified on the attached map; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RES )LVPD chat t"ie Mounds View Planning <br />Commission recommends to the City Council adoption of the attached <br />Chapter 40 text and map indicating properties to be rezoned; <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that due to the addition of the R-5 <br />District which had been incorporated into the Zoning Code text, the <br />Mounds View Planning Commission is also recommending that Chapter <br />43 entitled, "Mobile Homes" be deleted from the Municipal Code. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Planning Commission recommends <br />to the City Council that on parcels being rezoned to adjust <br />the present zoning to the actual zoning for the particular use <br />of the property, notification to the effected property owner <br />be given and publication in the offical newspaper be made. On <br />the remaining parcels to be rezoned, the Planning Commission <br />recommends that public hearings be conducted prior to any <br />zoning change. <br />40 <br />
