We have worked with the City of Mounds View in an analysis of traffic in the area for <br /> that the relocation of the Edgewood Drive and Highway 10 intersection and the installationand feel <br /> signal is based on several factors, not just the development that is proposed for the south side of a traffic. <br /> The factors, in no specific order, are as follows: the road. <br /> The existing intersection of Edgewood Drive and Highway 10 is relatively dose to the County Road H241111 <br /> intersection. The relocated intersection would be a <br /> Long Lake Road, pp1°ximatelY half way between County Road H2 and <br /> The existing Edgewood Drive intersection at Highway 10 is at a very skewed angle. This creates s <br /> sight distance restrictions. The new intersection would be at a more desirable angle. ome <br /> The redevelopment of the Bel Rae Ballroom to a community center will increase the volume of tra <br /> from that facility. It will add a number of vehicles to the Edgewood Drive intersection. ff c <br /> The ring road is designed to provide access to a considerable number of <br /> The development proposed for the south side of Highway 10 consisting of theotheater is only one of <br /> developments to be served. many <br /> Finally, the development of any type on the south side would generate traffic which, <br /> access, would be totally focused on Highway '10.
