Coordinator Bennett gave a summary on the"red flag" reports. In general, retail <br /> companies had issues with the sign requirements, there were a few companies who may <br /> need more space for expanded facility that is not available within the City and several <br /> indicated that the City should consider the implications on businesses of proposed tax <br /> increases and new fees. <br /> 3. Coordinator Bennett mentioned that a meeting was called to address the interview <br /> procedures with Community Resource Partnership. EDC member Malone attended the <br /> meeting along with City Administrator, Samantha Orduno. All the issues were discussed <br /> and assurance was given that the concerns would be immediately addressed. <br /> No action was taken or needed on this item. <br /> C. Consideration of Highway 10 Redevelopment Plan Vision and Action Steps. <br /> There was a request to table this item until more of the Commission members were <br /> present. <br /> Motion/Second: Nelson/Goff, to Table Consideration of Highway 10 Redevelopment Plan Vision <br /> and Action Steps <br /> 4 ayes 0 nays <br /> • Motion Carried <br /> Commissioner Mountin noted that the Mounds View Comprehensive Plan mentions the <br /> development of Highway 10 Corridor and requested that those sections be distributed to <br /> all Commission members in the next packet. <br /> D. Consideration of Highway 10 Inventory Format. <br /> Commissioner Mountin requested an amendment to the format changing the category <br /> "Property Constraints" to "Property Issues & Opportunities" and adding a category to <br /> indicate if the property is for sale or in the process of expansion. <br /> Motion/Second: Mountin/Goff, to Accept the Amended Format for Inventory of Highway 10. <br /> 4 ayes 0 nays <br /> Motion Carried <br /> 5. Other Business: <br /> MCDA Commercial/Industrial Development& Small Business Assistance Programs: Coordinator Bennett <br /> reported that there are several programs that the Minneapolis Community Development Agency offers. <br /> The structure of some of these programs may be worthwhile to implement for Mounds View. <br /> Motion/Second: Mountin/Nelson to table discussion of this item until there is better business <br /> representation present at the meeting. <br /> . 4 ayes 0 nays <br /> Motion Carried <br /> 2 <br />
