nD Community
• C Resource
Partnerships,Inc.
Community Resource Partnerships, Inc.
PROPOSAL
Community Partners
Phase II •
- April 7, 1995
Community Resource Partnerships, Inc. (CRP) and the.Working Group have been discussing the
' design and structure of Community Partners' 1995 Phase II program. The following Phase II.
program is recommended to begin July 1st and continue through December 1995.
1. Final Report Recommendations and Action Plans •
CRP will work with the Commission to prioritize the recommendations of the.Final
Report and develop specific action plans for implementation in 1996-1997. This will
include an examination of the various recommendations, prioritization, additional
research, creation and development of natural alliances, andformation of budgets to
more specifically address issues evolved from the survey process and to monitor change
withinthe business community.
2. Data Base Maintenance _
It is recommended that the existing data base be maintained and updated by CRP via a
telephonic survey effort. This will entail seeking confirmation and/or correction to the
existing data and allow for a limited number of additional follow-on questions. Initially,
approximately 15% of the previously surveyed businesses will be polled based on a
prioritization ranking. (Questions to be determined)
Phase I demonstrated that businesses are constantly in flux with changes in ownership
and management, relocations, expansions, etc. By carefully monitoring these changes
and the related needs of the business community, cities can pro-actively help to maintain
the long-term health and vitality of the local business climate. This commitment will
help ensure a strong growing business base that continues to provide jobs, tax base and
services in the community.
The goals of this component are as follows:`
• verify existing data and update where necessary,
• collect limited, highly selective additional information,
• monitor need for effective intervention/referrals,
• • gauge overall business climate.
8525 Edinbrook Crossing
Suite 5
Brooklyn Park, MN 55443
612/493-5373
612/424-1174 Fax
