Minutes of the Economic Development Commission <br /> City of Mounds View <br /> Ramsey County, Minnesota <br /> Regular Meeting <br /> June 22, 1995 <br /> City Hall <br /> 2401 Highway 10, Mounds View, MN 55112 <br /> 1. Call to Order: <br /> The meeting was called to order at 6:04 p.m. by Chairperson, Phil Seipp. <br /> 2. Roll Call: <br /> Members present were as follows: Rosemary Goff, Mark Malone, Peg Mountin, Dan Nelson, Ron <br /> Schmidt, and Phil Seipp. In addition Economic Development Coordinator Cathy Bennett and EDA <br /> Liaison Sue Hankner were present. EDC Member Delane Welsch was absent. <br /> 3. Approval Of Minutes: <br /> Chairman Siepp proposed the following changes to the minutes. <br /> Item 5.A. Change office/showroom to warehouse/production facility. <br /> Item S.D. Change percentage of loan from 60% to 50%. <br /> • Motion/Second: Goff/Nelson moved approval of Minutes of May 25, 1995 Meeting as <br /> amended. <br /> 6 ayes 0 nays <br /> Motion Carried <br /> 4. Special Business <br /> There was no special business <br /> 5. EDC Business: <br /> A. Discussion of Highway 10 Corridor. <br /> Coordinator Bennett presented the proposed draft of a Highway 10 Corridor redevelopment <br /> plan. The document was put together with the assistance of the Highway 10 committee that <br /> was established by the EDC. The plan begins to cluster properties along highway 10 into <br /> designated development areas. An overview of each area was given by Highway 10 Committee <br /> member Peg Mountin with the desired development direction of each section. <br /> Each member of the EDC gave comments regarding the plan and came up with several <br /> suggestions for the next step in the process. <br /> • Careful consideration needs to be made in regards to the problem with access on 10 and <br /> how people cross the Highway. <br /> . • Each member of the EDC were in agreement on the direction of the plan and the proposed <br /> types of development for each area. <br /> • A master plan needs to be devised to pull the plan together. <br /> 1 <br />
