Application Cycle:Beginning in 1996 there will be two grant cycles per year: a spring cycle(RFPs in February, <br /> applications deadlines in May,and awards announced in July)and a fall cycle(RFP in September,application <br /> deadline in November and awards announced in January).If applications for grants exceed the available funds for <br /> an application cycle,no more than one-half of the funds may be granted to projects in a single city,and no more <br /> than three-quarters of the funds may be granted to projects located in cities of the first class.
