13. Twenty Five percent of the companies are interested in learning more <br /> about technical and community college training. <br /> 15. In each category, employers will be increasing their staff over the <br /> next five years with the largest increase in the Sales sector and <br /> close seconds from the Managerial, Services and Technical <br /> categories. <br /> Business Changes: <br /> 17.F. Thirty five percent (38) of the companies have increased employment <br /> in last 3 years. <br /> 17.G. Eleven percent (12) experience a decreased in employment over the <br /> last 3 years. <br /> 18.F. The good news is that forty six percent (50) of the companies will be <br /> increasing their current employment levels in the next 2 years. <br /> 18.G. Only two percent expect to have a decrease in employment over the <br /> next 2 years. <br /> 18.J. Ten companies (9%) indicated that they are considering relocation of <br /> their facility in the next two years. <br /> 19. Of those companies that indicated that they are considering <br /> relocation, 50% said they would locate in the North Metro with two <br /> companies looking to relocation out of Minnesota. <br /> 20. Of those companies that are considering relocation, one will be <br /> moving in 6 months, one in one year and the remaining in one to <br /> three years. <br /> Location Factors: <br /> 21. Roads, Property Taxes and Facility Space were the three top factors <br /> that companies considered in making a relocation or expansion <br /> decision. Following close behind were State Income Tax and Sales <br /> Tax, Workers Compensation, Unemployment Insurance Costs and the <br /> Permit Process. Other factors noted that were not listed include <br /> visibility and access off Highway 10 and the freeway and positive <br /> business climate. <br /> 22.
