Attachment A <br /> RECOMMENDED ACTION STEPS IN RESPONSE TO THE NORTH METRO <br /> BUSINESS RETENTION AND DEVELOPMENT SURVEY PROCESS <br /> Action Step 1 : <br /> Adopt a revised Sign Ordinance by October 1, 1995. <br /> Action Step 2: <br /> Established a Business Loan Program to assist existing businesses improve and <br /> expand their facilities by June 1995. <br /> Action Step 3: <br /> Continue to keep the redevelopment of Highway 10 as an important element in <br /> the positive economic vitality of Mounds View and strive to develop and approve a <br /> redevelopment plan in 1995. <br /> Action Step 4: <br /> Continue to aggressively develop and implement housing programs geared toward <br /> Mounds View's single and multi family housing stock to improve the livability, <br /> appearance and economic opportunities of the City. <br /> Action Step 5: <br /> Continue to personally meet with all local businesses and address their needs in an <br /> expedient manner. <br /> Action Step 6: <br /> Develop target industries and aggressively pursue the attraction and retention of <br /> these industries in Mounds View by working closely with developers, property <br /> manager and land owners. <br /> Action Step 7: <br /> Streamline the permit process by reviewing ways that allow decisions to be made <br /> by trained staff on minor development projects. <br />
