MOUNDS VIEW PLANNING COMMISSION ) . <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 558-98 ( o PTI o N "A " <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING A VARIANCE TO ALLOW FOR TWO CURB-CUTS AT <br /> A SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY LOCATED AT <br /> 8111 EASTWOOD ROAD; PLANNING CASE NO. 535-98 <br /> WHEREAS, the Mounds View Planning Commission has reviewed the request of Michael <br /> Tobias, to allow for two curb cuts at his property, located at 8111 Eastwood Road; and, <br /> WHEREAS, this property is zoned R-1, Single-Family Residential, and is legally described <br /> as follows: <br /> Subject to Sherwood and Eastwood Roads, The East 215 Feet of the <br /> West 1799 Feet of the South 200 Feet of the Northeast 1/4 of <br /> Section 6, Township 30, Range 23 <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the following documents associated • <br /> with this request: <br /> 1. Planning Application <br /> 2. Location Map <br /> 3. Zoning Map <br /> 4. Site Plan <br /> 5. Letter from Building Inspector,dated 7/28/98 <br /> 6. Corner Parcel Inventory <br /> WHEREAS, the existence of the driveway, for which this variance is requested, predates <br /> the enactment of Ordinance No. 288, which among other things, limits a single-family residential <br /> property to only one curb cut; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, acting as the Board of Adjustment and Appeals, <br /> may waive the requirement to limit a single-family residential property in the interest of public <br /> safety; and, <br /> WHEREAS, exceptional or extraordinary circumstances do apply to the property which <br /> do not apply generally to other properties in the same zone or vicinity and result from lot size or <br /> shape, topography or other circumstances over which the owners of the property since the <br /> effective date hereof have had no control, in that the property is a corner lot and is thus subject to <br /> additional public safety concerns; and, • <br />
