Planning Commission Resolution No. 563-98
Background:
Blacktop Paving of Minnesota, representing the property owner of 2236 Hillview Road--Ted
Jarvis--is requesting a variance from the Code requirement that specifies that driveways shall
maintain at least a one-foot setback from a property line. This summer, Blacktop Paving of
Minnesota installed a twelve foot expansion to Mr. Jarvis' driveway, without having obtained a
• building permit. Had the permit been applied for prior to the installation, the contractor or
homeowner would have been told that driveways need to be located at least one foot from the
property line.
