City of Mounds View Staff Report <br />January 10, 2000 <br />Page 2 <br />constraint, the only viable site is a parcel of property located between the Saturn Dealership and the <br />Multi -Tech Headquarters. The property is owned by Multi -Tech, and does not appear to be for sale. <br />Another option that will be presented is to lease space in multiple buildings within the Business Park. <br />At the current time, there is a significant amount space available to lease, but the available space <br />may not coincide with Liberty's needs. The letter sent by the Tegra Group on behalf of Liberty is <br />attached for your reference. <br />PIKal7 IF <br />VICORP Restaurants, d/b/a VICOM will be closing its production facility in the Mounds View <br />Business Park on Quincy Avenue. They intend to close on or about March 18th, 2000. The company <br />will be moving to a new facility in Chaska shortly thereafter. Vicom employs approximately 90 <br />employees (16 Mounds View residents) of which most will be offered transfers to the new facility. <br />The attached letter states that the employees have been given notice of the relocation. <br />Necessary Actions: <br />No action is required <br />Aaron Parrish, Economic Development Coordinator <br />
